Duke of York’s Square in Chelsea has been home to the highly influential Saatchi Gallery since 2008, with 70,000 square feet of exhibition space allowing events with capacities up to 1500, the high ceiling and blank canvas interiors make it a hugely desirable and flexible space for intimate dinners to larger events including launches and receptions.

So its not surprising to hear we were absolutely thrilled to have been added as a preferred florist to the gallery last month.

For our first event we were asked to work alongside new caterer Lush by the Hand & Flowers to launch their brand into the events industry. Working closely with the team at the Gallery we created an impactful design to compliment the contemporary space and artwork as well as the menu that was delivered by Lush.

Our floral designs were a mixture of impressive high arrangements and clusters of low florals in hues of reds and oranges to dress the contemporary black gloss table which would seat the 60 guests. It was exciting to create a design for an unusual set up in Gallery 5.

The dinner hosted by Saatchi was an opportunity to introduce clients to the unique spaces of the gallery as well as to brand new caterer Lush by the Hand & Flowers.

During a reception in gallery 4 where the most delicious and intricate canapés were served alongside champagne and cocktails, guests were treated to an appearance and speech from the man behind the Lush brand – Tom Kerridge who gave us an insight in to the dinner menu they had planned for the evening.

The collaboration between the Gallery and Lush by the Hand & Flowers was a perfect partnership and the evening was a huge success which we were delighted to have played a part in.
